It's the Real Deal

The product is easy to work and compact, and it holds up well under heavy traffic. I’ve repaired pavement for thirty-two years, and I would recommend U.S. Cold Patch to anyone.

This product has changed the way we repair our parking lots. It goes down quick with no mess and no smell, and once the repair is made you can open the area right up to cars and customers. The next day your patch looks like hot mix. Alligatoring and delaminations—U.S. Cold Patch repairs them all.

Very Pleased with the Results in All Weather

Our street department has been using U.S. Cold Patch for two years now. We are very pleased with the results in all weather. Our trucks carry bags of the material so we can quickly repair potholes as we find them. This saves time and money. U.S. Cold Patch doesn’t harden up in the bag, so there’s no waste.

I regularly have to patch and repair asphalt parkings lots at several rental units I own in the Puget Sound region.

I regularly have to patch and repair asphalt parkings lots at several rental units I own in the Puget Sound region. Our freeze-thaw cycles are brutal on any cracks in asphalt. Patching and repairing using traditional materials was time consuming, laborious, and dirty, but it still had to be done.  I even kept a special set of tools and gloves for the task. While shopping for some traditional patch material one day, I saw U.S. Cold Patch next to the material I had always used before. The information on the package sounded too good to be true. But, I bought one bag just to satisfy myself that the old way was still the best way. When I opened the bag and took a handful out, I was certain the product would not work. After all, it wasn’t oily and sticky – how could it possible compact down as well as the old stuff? It would never stay in the hole.  Plus, I could easily break up the small clumps with just my hand.  Real patching material had to be broken up with a shovel or hoe to work, right? Well, I poured the material into a cleaned-out pothole, and then drove a truck over the material a few times. Viola!  A perfect patch.  Not one piece of the material was picked up by the tires. And, it compacted perfectly.   Now how often does a product really work as advertised?  Well, this is one product that actually does. Environmentally friendly?  Icing on the cake.

I love this stuff. It’s the best patch for emergencies, and the easiest to use. Everywhere I have put it, it has stayed.

For the past four years I have been using U.S. Cold Patch to repair cracks and excavated areas in our parking lots and sidewalks at the small Christian School where I am the Facility Steward.

For the past four years I have been using U.S. Cold Patch to repair cracks and excavated areas in our parking lots and sidewalks at the small Christian School where I am the Facility Steward.  I have also used a similar product from and found it to be far inferior to your product. Feel free to use my name and comments as a testimonial, as I am 100% sold on U.S. Cold Patch!

- Joe Anderson,

We’ve tried several different types of cold asphalt patch and this stuff is the best by far.

U.S. Cold Patch stays put in the ground. Our crews love it.

U.S. Cold Patch stays put in the ground. Our crews love it. It’s the only product they use for the late night emergency potholes. Based on strength, the high recycled content, and no cutbacks, I believe this product will soon become the standard material for pothole repairs.

When our road repair work shut down during the holidays, we had the contractors to come back to their sites daily to keep the potholes filled. They used regular cold mix. On weekends, my crew would check the sites, and make repairs as needed with U.S. Cold Patch. Our patches held, and those made with regular cold mix did not—this was true even in potholes that contained both products. U.S. Cold Patch really is a permanent repair material. In nearly 20 years of street maintenance this is only product I’ve found that works in very shallow holes.

This stuff is worth it’s weight in gold.

My service technicians have used your product extensively for various applications. This stuff is worth it’s weight in gold. Very convenient to keep a couple of bags in our vans.

No preparation to receive the U.S. Cold Patch except removing loose material as much as possible and dumping in the material and compacting.

No preparation to receive the U.S. Cold Patch except removing loose material as much as possible and dumping in the material and compacting. None of the patches I made came out. With my experience, I am sure the material will work as permanent patch and as good as hot mix.

In cooperation with California EPA, Yosemite National Park has tested a new green asphalt patch compound for about 1 year.

In cooperation with California EPA, Yosemite National Park has tested a new green asphalt patch compound for about 1 year. Based on the results, we have replaced our existing stock and use this product for all asphalt patching in all altitudes and all conditions. The primary green benefit is air and water. No fish kill potential (run off into the river) and no air pollution (low VOCs). The product is 70% recycled asphalt which lowers the stress on the existing land fills. And unlike regular cold patch, it does not need to be removed for road resurfacing. In addition, the product has excellent technical characteristics. It sets on compression (no need for a tar wagon) and is harder than existing asphalt.

I must admit I was skeptical at first, but the patch we put on the street the first day we used this product is still holding up well.

I must admit I was skeptical at first, but the patch we put on the street the first day we used this product is still holding up well. The crew likes the fact that there are far lower volatile organic compounds to breathe. I firmly believe that U.S. Cold Patch will become a standard for small asphalt repair nationwide.

Simply the easiest product to prep for (no tack required), to use, (just pour out of the bag) to compact, (tamp or tire roll) and most importantly, stays in place, long lasting, (some of our patches are 18 months old and still require no sweetening material). We don’t have to purchase standard cold mix in quantities that usually don’t get used before their shelf life (i.e. get hard and difficult to use) saves money, we like U.S. Cold Patch and highly recommend it.

That stuff is great!

Outside of my house on the street we had a huge pothole that the city didn’t repair. My neighbor was going to pour cement into it, but I suggested he try out your product. Long story short, he filled the hole with U.S. Cold Patch and it immediately began to pour rain. The patch sat in a pool of water for two or three days straight and still set up perfectly. That stuff is great!

The asphalt patches I’ve used all smell like gasoline, so I was surprised at first that your product did not smell at all.

The asphalt patches I’ve used all smell like gasoline, so I was surprised at first that your product did not smell at all. It wasn’t gooey, either. The repair I made at the end of our driveway looked so good my wife thought I’d hired a paving company to do it!
